This is my very first Jazzmaster, so all tips are welcome. You would need to route to get a regulard Jazzmaster pickup to fit and a different pickguard. You could get a humbucker sized P90 if you wanted a single coil vibe but with no routing. I routed a Blacktop to make it more of a standard Jazzmaster. The marking on the body is where I routed.

I also have a used Jaguar Blacktop HH (MIM) and it is increadibly underrated. 1. It's a Fender neck. 2. It's a Fender neck with 24" scale, simply makes it easier to play for most of us (easier for bends and better reach). 3. The original bridge pickup is increadibly underrated, at least if you also like some heavy tunes!
